Good afternoon, Europe and the Mediterranean. As we step into December 3rd, 2025, let’s take a look at our current weather picture across the region.
The skies seem to be mostly cooperative today, with clear conditions prevailing over much of Europe. Notably, the cloud cover is minimal across vast areas, especially from the British Isles stretching to Eastern Europe, allowing plenty of sunshine to peek through. However, some cloudier patches are noted over parts of the Mediterranean, particularly around Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean basin.
Temperatures are quite varied across the continent. Northern parts, including Scandinavia, are experiencing a chilly day with temperatures dipping below freezing in some areas. Conversely, the southern Mediterranean regions are enjoying milder conditions, with temperatures reaching the high teens to low twenties in places like North Africa and parts of the Middle East.
In terms of atmospheric pressure, a low-pressure system is making its presence felt over the North Atlantic, influencing weather conditions over northwestern Europe. Meanwhile, central and eastern Europe are under the influence of a high-pressure system, contributing to the clear skies and calm conditions.
Wind speeds are generally mild across the region, with no significant gusts reported, making for a relatively calm day. However, do keep an eye on the coasts where breezier conditions can occasionally occur.
Precipitation is light and scattered, mainly affecting parts of southern Europe, with some showers expected in the Balkans and southeastern Mediterranean areas. Snowfall is limited largely to alpine regions, where light snow is expected to continue, particularly in the western Alps.
