Campania Region – Weather forecast, May, 28th, 2025

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Italian Peninsula will be under the influence of a high-pressure system, which will promote stable atmospheric conditions. However, inflows of cooler air at higher altitudes will lead to localized afternoon instability, particularly affecting the Alpine, Pre-Alpine, and Apennine regions.

Wednesday, May 28, 2025:
Overnight and in the morning, clear or mostly clear skies are expected everywhere. During the afternoon hours, cumulus cloud development is expected in areas near the Apennines, with local showers over the Matese area, the Irpinian Mountains, and the inland areas of southern Cilento. In the evening, cloud cover will tend to thin out, giving way to harmless high clouds across the entire region.
Temperatures: Minimums will rise slightly in the inland areas, with values ranging between +11°C and +15°C; they will remain nearly unchanged along the coast and in the plains, with values between +14°C and +18°C. Maximum temperatures will increase slightly, generally ranging between +22°C and +26°C, with peaks up to 28°C in the Benevento area, the Caserta inland, and the Naples area.
Wind: Weak or absent from the eastern quadrants overnight and in the morning. Later, along the coastal strip and immediate inland areas, a breeze from the western quadrants is expected. In the evening, conditions of weak or absent winds with variable directions will return.
Sea: Slightly rough during the first part of the day; later, rough.

Forecast for the city of Naples: In the regional capital, clear or mostly clear skies are expected for most of the day. In the evening, harmless high clouds are expected to move through.
Temperature: Minimums will remain nearly unchanged, with values between +16°C and +18°C. Maximums will increase slightly, with values between +23°C and +25°C.
Wind: Weak or absent from the eastern quadrants overnight and in the morning. Starting from the middle of the day, the wind will blow from the western quadrants as a breeze. In the evening, the wind will gradually decrease.
